"Putting the Polish in Preservation"

Stroll into any art gallery, and you'll find paintings by the world's great masters. Drive down Texas 66, and you'll discover the route itself is a path to masterpieces.

Historic service stations. Classic movie houses and cafes. The kind of buildings they just don't build anymore. That's why we at the Old Route 66 Association of Texas are constantly pulling out our own paint brushes and tools—with RESTORATION on our minds.

We've saved a lot of classic Route 66 structures from ruin. And we're working to save more all the time. Just take a tiptoe through our gallery. Have a look at some of our favorite pieces.

Whether you favor McLean's venerable Phillips 66 Service Station or Avalon Theater, Amarillo's "Big Bull" or Shamrock's amazing art deco Tower Station and Cafe, we think you'll agree:
"TEXAS ROUTE 66 IS PURTY AS A PICTURE!"
